When the scale stalls

Updated Jul 18, 2026

There comes a point when the weight stops going down even when everything is on track. That’s expected: the body adjusts to a lower weight and energy expenditure drops along with it. It doesn’t mean it has stopped working.

What usually gets things moving again is changing the energy balance: a little more movement during the day, checking that protein and portions are still on point, and taking care of sleep. None of this is a medication dose.

If you think it’s time to revisit the plan, that’s a conversation with your doctor, always. They decide whether anything changes in the treatment. This is information to help you understand what you’re going through, not a substitute for your doctor. Only they can adjust the pen, the dose, and the treatment plan.
