Constipation is common because everything slows down. Fiber helps, but it only works when paired with water: fiber without fluids can make things worse. Gradually increase vegetables, fruits with the skin on, oats, and beans, and drink more water in the same proportion.
Movement also matters. A walk can already help your bowels get back into rhythm.
If you go many days without having a bowel movement, with discomfort, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before turning to a laxative on your own. This is information to help you understand what you’re experiencing; it does not replace your doctor. The one who adjusts your injection pen, dose, and treatment plan is your doctor.
